Palmaz Genesis Renal Artery Stent Launched in Japan

 

June 1, 2009—Johnson & Johnson K.K. Medical Company (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Japan) has introduced the Palmaz Genesis, a flexible, low-profile stent for the treatment of renal artery disease. The device was approved in Japan for this indication, and the company has obtained reimbursement for the device's use for it.
