Argon to Manufacture and Distribute Hatch Medical's Scorpion TIPS Products


June 26, 2019—Hatch Medical, LLC, a device incubator and technology brokerage firm, announced the completion of a licensing agreement with Argon Medical Devices, Inc.

Under terms of the agreement, Argon has licensed the manufacturing and global distribution rights to Hatch Medical’s family of liver access products, including the Scorpion transjugular intrahepatic portasystemic shunt (TIPS) access systems.

Argon will manufacture the products through company-owned and original equipment manufacturer-directed facilities and distribute the products through its global direct sales forces and distributor networks.

Hatch Medical’s family Scorpion TIPS access system products are intended to improve the utility, accuracy, and simplicity of TIPS access. The Scorpion device was conceived by interventional radiologist, S. Lowell Kahn, MD, Founder of New England Endovascular Center in West Springfield, Massachusetts.
