Cerus Endovascular’s 021 Contour Neurovascular System Receives CE Mark Approval

April 29, 2020—Cerus Endovascular Ltd. announced that it has received European CE Mark approval for its 0.021-inch Contour neurovascular system, which is compatible with smaller commercially available 0.021-inch microcatheters for the treatment of saccular intracranial aneurysms. It is expected to be commercially available across the European Union in the fourth quarter of 2020.

According to the company, the Contour neurovascular system is a fine mesh braid that is deployed across the neck of the aneurysm sac and provides a combination of flow diversion and flow disruption through a single device implant. The new lower-profile system will allow physicians to access more distally challenging vascular anatomies.

In February 2020, Cerus Endovascular announced CE Mark approval for the first Contour neurovascular system in the treatment of intracranial aneurysms.
