SVIN Announces Virtual Spring Conference
March 30, 2020—In an initiative to mitigate the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Society of Vascular and Interventional Neurology (SVIN) announced that it has organized a virtual conference, SVIN Break 2020, to be held April 29–30, 2020. The conference will offer the neurology community the opportunity for education, scientific news, and best practice exchange.
The society stated that SVIN Break 2020 will allow online participation via a Zoom meeting. Up to 10 CME credits will be available for this conference. The society advised that live web links and more information about CME credits will be sent out closer to the conference dates. The full program agenda is available online here.
SVIN Break 2020 will incorporate talks directly related to COVID-19, including:
- Primer on Neuro-COVID-19: What to Know for Acute Stroke Workflow by Thanh Nguyen, MD
- Setting up a TeleHealth Practice During COVID-19 and Beyond by Tzu-Ching Wu, MD, and Christy Ankrom, Program Manager, Telemedicine
- Prioritizing Care in the Era of COVID-19 by David Liebeskind, MD
The SVIN annual meeting is scheduled to take place November 18–21 in Los Angeles, California.
