Viz.ai Introduces New Artificial Intelligence Software Feature for Stroke Care

November 20, 2019—Viz.ai, a company focused on artificial intelligence software applications for stroke treatment, announced the introduction of new software features at SVIN 2019, the annual meeting of the Society of Vascular and Interventional Neurology held November 20–23 in Atlanta, Georgia.

According to the company, the new features, which are available as a free software update to Viz.ai customers, include customizable alerts based on CT perfusion, proprietary mobile three-dimensional reconstruction, multiplanar reconstruction, maximum intensity projection reconstruction, and built-in HIPAA compliant direct and group messaging. In addition, Viz.ai has added an ability to notify and share cases between specialists with a click of a button; this all-in-one mobile application allows stroke teams to synchronize care seamlessly.

Viz.ai, which received FDA clearance for its Viz LVO for large vessel occlusion detection in February 2018, has added the ability for clinicians to set a desired tMax threshold, which can notify them about hypoperfusion in any part of the vasculature and allows specialists to define the alerts they want to receive. The Viz LVO is a computer-aided triage and notification software. The company also received FDA clearance for the Viz CTP as a tool for automated cerebral perfusion image analysis.
