AngioDynamics Launches the DuraMax Stepped-Tip Chronic Dialysis Catheter

April 4, 2011—AngioDynamics, Inc. (Queensbury, NY) announced the launch of the DuraMax stepped-tip chronic dialysis catheter and the DuraMaxVP (VascPak) kit.

According to the company, the DuraMax chronic dialysis catheter employs AngioDynamics' Curved Tip catheter technology, which is designed to improve patient outcomes by providing higher blood flow over a longer time frame at lower recirculation rates, even if the catheter becomes positioned against a vessel wall. A guidewire lumen is designed to significantly improve catheter placement by securely fixing the guidewire in the center of the leading edge of the catheter at the insertion site. The DuraMaxVP is a streamlined component kit, the company stated.
