Argon Medical’s Halo Single-Loop Snare Kit Launched in the United States

April 6, 2021—Argon Medical Devices, Inc. announced the commercial launch of the Halo single-loop snare kit in the United States.

According to the company, the Halo device is designed to provide accuracy and reliability when retrieving and manipulating foreign objects from the cardiovascular system or hollow viscus. Procedural efficiency is enhanced by the Halo’s reusable, peel-away insertion tool allows for easy assembly and its 15° angulation on the snare catheter for directional control.

“The 15° angulation on the snare catheter is beneficial for positioning when retrieving a foreign body that is positioned against the wall of an artery or vein,” commented Daniel George, MD, in Argon’s press release. Dr. George, who is lead interventional radiologist at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Beaumont, Texas, was the first physician in the United States to use the Halo single-loop snare.
