BD Announces New 300-mm Length for Lutonix 018 DCB

March 2, 2020—BD Peripheral Intervention announced the addition of a 300-mm balloon length option for its Lutonix 018 drug-coated balloon (DCB) portfolio. The new size received FDA approval for the treatment of femoropopliteal lesions up to 300 mm and is commercially available today, advised the company in its announcement.

According to BD, the Lutonix 018 DCB is the only 0.018-inch DCB available in the United States. The full portfolio now offers balloon lengths from 40 to 300 mm for diameters from 4 to 7 mm on both 100- and 130-cm catheter lengths. The newly released 300-mm length is available with 4- to 6-mm diameters.
