Boston Scientific Launches Sterling SL Balloon Catheter

May 19, 2010—Boston Scientific Corporation (Natick, MA) announced the launch of the Sterling SL percutaneous transluminal angioplasty (PTA) balloon dilatation catheter in the United States and Europe. The Sterling SL is designed for below-the-knee PTA procedures.

Kenneth Kollmeyer, MD, commented, “The introduction of the Sterling SL balloon catheter will provide the length options I need to address below-the-knee procedures for patients with peripheral artery disease.”
