CE Mark Approved for Balt's Magic Glue Cyanoacrylate Liquid Embolic Agent

October 24, 2018—Balt International announced it has received CE Mark approval for Magic Glue, its next-generation cyanoacrylate liquid embolic agent. Magic Glue is indicated for the embolization of arteriovenous malformations. New features of this cyanoacrylate glue include delayed polymerization of the monomers for better control and less adhesion to the microcatheter, allowing for longer injection. Magic Glue is applicable in the fields of neuroradiology and interventional radiology.

According to the company, Magic Glue is a class III implantable medical device that is described as an arterial and venous embolization implant because of its hemostatic action. It is applied in solution with a contrast liquid.
