Concentric’s Trevo System Approved in EU and Canada

February 10, 2010—Concentric Medical, Inc. (Mountain View, CA) announced that its Trevo thrombus removal system has received regulatory approval for treating acute ischemic stroke in both Europe and Canada. The company expects to introduce the device in those markets in the near future. European medical centers began initial clinical evaluation of the Trevo system after receiving CE Mark approval in late 2009. Numerous cases have been performed and early clinical feedback continues to be positive, the company stated.
