Cook’s Slip-Cath Beacon Tip Catheter Introduced in the United States and Canada

January 8, 2024—Cook Medical announced that its Slip-Cath Beacon tip hydrophilic selective catheter is now available for use in the United States and Canada. Slip-Cath is a hydrophilic angiographic catheter used in vascular and nonvascular procedures.

According to the company, the Slip-Cath Beacon tip catheter is intended for use in angiographic procedures in conjunction with vascular access sheaths, wire guides, and various treatment devices. The device’s features include its visibility, pushability, and torqueability; a protective foil packaging that ensures product durability; and a 3-year shelf life.

Cook advised it is bringing this product back to the market after collaborating with physicians and clinicians to best meet their needs.
