April 11, 2026—CUC America, a provider of advanced vascular and interventional care, announced strategic collaborations with Yuji Okuno, MD, and Osman Ahmed, MD, to accelerate the adoption of musculoskeletal (MSK) embolization and expand access to innovative, minimally invasive therapies across the United States.
Dr. Okuno is a pioneer in endovascular pain treatment and the developer of genicular artery embolization. Dr. Ahmed is a leader in interventional radiology and embolization.
According to the company, the collaborations are intended to advance embolotherapy for chronic MSK pain by combining world-class clinical expertise with a scalable outpatient care delivery model through CUC America’s growing network of office-based laboratories (OBLs).
CUC America stated that through an advisory agreement, Dr. Okuno will support the development and expansion of the company’s OBL platform in the United States with a focus on the following:
- Medical quality and standardization, establishing protocols to ensure consistent, high-quality treatment and patient safety across OBL facilities.
- Physician training and education, developing structured training programs and certification systems to support physician skill development.
