Cydar Maps Planning and Navigation Solution Expanded to Enable Use in Complex Branched and Visceral Cases
KEY TAKEAWAYS
- Cydar Medical expands Cydar Maps with Plan+ to enables adaptation beyond aortic procedures to complex branched and visceral cases.
- The Plan+ advance image analysis offers enhanced visualizations of the patient’s vascular anatomy, powerful tools to assess complex branched and visceral vessels, and dynamic modelling.
April 29, 2026—Cydar Medical, a developer of cloud-based artificial intelligence solutions for endovascular surgery, announced an expanded release of Cydar Maps. The new release extends the procedure planning and intra-operative navigation solution to support a broader range of vascular interventions beyond aortic procedures.
According to the company, Cydar Maps provide intelligent image guidance in complex aortic and endovascular care, helping hospitals and surgical teams deliver safer, more efficient, and more predictable outcomes.
Cydar Maps incorporates updated planning features and enhanced intra-operative guidance, offering to offer improved functionality to better support existing customer use cases across vascular programs. The Cydar Maps enhancement, called Plan+, enables adaptation for complex branched and visceral cases. It provides the ability to plan for complex cases involving multiple visceral branches, noted the company.
As outlined by Cydar Medical, the Plan+ advance image analysis offers the following:
- Clear display of the patient’s vascular anatomy using enhanced visualizations
- Powerful tools to assess and measure complex branched and visceral vessel cases using up to eight virtual guidewires
- Dynamic modelling to allow deformation of the three-dimensional patient map along any virtual wire to compensate for anatomic deformation and maintain accuracy of the overlay throughout the case
