Distribution Agreements Support International Commercialization of Vesalio's NeVa Neurothrombectomy System
April 8, 2019—Vesalio announced multiple exclusive distribution agreements in Europe, Latin America, Asia, and the Middle East that provide market availability in 39 countries for the company's NeVa neurothrombectomy system. In September 2018, the company announced the full commercial launch of the device in Europe.
In addition to increased market and registration activities, Vesalio is expanding its training programs to include Vesalio Clot Interaction Labs and AIS Simulation Workshops with Vesalio’s flow model for new channel partners and physicians. The company will increase its presence at key neurovascular congresses and live teaching courses in 2019.
The NeVa platform was designed to achieve repeatable clinical outcomes by providing physicians “first pass” success in effectively capturing and retaining a neurovascular clot inside the device, stated Vesalio.
