July 6, 2026—Egg Medical, a developer of enhanced radiation protection devices (ERPDs) for interventional procedures, announced the launch of its next-generation EggNest Complete 2.0 system.

According to the company, EggNest Complete 2.0 is the latest evolution of the company’s EggNest ERPD system and is designed to reduce scatter radiation in interventional suites. It combines comprehensive protection with a lightweight structure and upgraded components.

Egg Medical stated that the system features a construction-free installation that allows labs to remain fully operational during setup; significant weight reduction; premium component durability for high-volume clinical environments; and molded carbon fiber components designed for seamless workflow integration.

The company press release noted that the Complete 2.0 system’s unified matrix of premium radiation safety components include a telescoping shield and upper flip shields. The molded carbon fiber shields provide adaptive, articulation-friendly scatter radiation shielding. The sealed EggPad and Egg blanket are easy-to-clean reusable shielding optimized for interventional procedures.

Hospitals and health systems can upgrade to EggNest Complete 2.0 ERPD without capital construction projects, requiring no structural modifications, so labs can deploy it immediately without disrupting procedure schedules or taking rooms offline, stated Egg Medical.
