FDA Clears Oscor's Adelante Magnum Introducer

August 28, 2014—Oscor Inc. announced 510(k) clearance from the US Food and Drug Administration to market the Adelante Magnum introducer in the United States. The device is now available for sale in the United States and Europe.

According to Oscor, the Adelante Magnum is a hemostatic valve introducer for large-size vascular access for the introduction and placement of endovascular catheters, aortic valves, and stent graft systems. The Adelante Magnum features the company’s multilayer, hydrophilic-coated sheath with a distal tip specifically designed to accept and tolerate the insertion and manipulation of large and complex devices. The device also incorporates the Adelante Magnum SureSeal technology to facilitate hemostasis, allowing the simultaneous insertion of multiple catheters and wires with minimal blood loss. The Adelante Magnum is available in multiple French sizes and sheath lengths, advised Oscor.
