Galt Medical Acquires Arrotek Medical
May 20, 2019—Galt Medical, a subsidiary of Theragenics Corporation and a global supplier of access and procedure products for a range of interventional and endovascular procedures, announced that it has acquired Arrotek Medical Limited. Arrotek is an Ireland-based developer and designer of minimally invasive medical devices supporting a range of catheter-based, interventional applications. Arrotek’s capabilities include concept, design, product development, regulatory approval, and certain manufacturing services.
Galt Medical's products include private-label products for medical device original equipment manufacturers and Galt-branded products to clinicians worldwide through a network of distributors. Galt products are used for a range of interventional radiology, interventional cardiology, vascular surgery, and intravenous therapy procedures.
Arrotek supports device innovation from initial concept to finished product. The company also provides regulatory services to ensure compliance with CE Mark, FDA, or other requirements.
