Gore Announces Nominees for 2014 Pioneers in Performance Awards for North America

November 21, 2013—Gore & Associates, Inc. (Flagstaff, AZ) announced the nominees and opening of voting for the company-sponsored 2014 Pioneers in Performance Awards for North America, which annually honors a distinguished group of physicians. The company made the announcement at the 2013 VEITH symposium in New York, New York. This year’s nominees can be viewed online at http://pioneersinperformance.com/na.

The academy of past recipients of the Pioneers in Performance awards selected the nominees; the 2014 honorees will be chosen by ballot. Voting is now open to the medical community and is available via the online site and at Gore pavilions at major clinical conferences throughout the year. Voting closes in October 2014, and ballots are kept confidential. Final winners will be honored during a reception in November at the 2014 VEITH symposium.

According to Gore, these physicians have been nominated for their unrelenting dedication to advancing vascular and endovascular therapy and minimally invasive treatment options for patients worldwide, including aortic and lower-limb bypass and dialysis access.

The company stated that the academy of past recipients selected nominees across four major categories that reflect a strong and ongoing commitment to improving clinical and patient performance through collaboration. Nominees have demonstrated collaboration as it relates to improving patient and clinical performance; a commitment to ongoing learning; and dedication to sharing knowledge with peers and patients, creation of consensus within the medical community, and analysis of outcomes.
