IceCure’s ProSense Cryoablation System to Be Distributed by Scovas Medical in the Netherlands

August 24, 2026—IceCure Medical Ltd. announced that it has entered into an exclusive distribution agreement with Scovas Medical for the distribution of IceCure’s ProSense cryoablation systems in the Netherlands for breast cancer and interventional oncology. The company’s minimally invasive cryoablation technology destroys tumors by freezing as an option to surgical tumor removal, noted the press release.

Under the agreement, Scovas will serve as IceCure’s exclusive distributor for ProSense in the Netherlands for an initial term with a view toward negotiating a further longer-term agreement, subject to the agreement of the parties.

IceCure stated that the initial agreement with Scovas supports market development, clinical education, and physician access in a country with strong interventional radiology expertise and a growing interest in minimally invasive procedures that support de-escalation of cancer care.

The company noted that its independent, multicenter randomized THERMAC clinical trial was conducted in the Netherlands. THERMAC evaluated thermal ablation as a potential treatment de-escalation approach for select patients with early stage breast cancer.

IceCure advised that the trial has advanced into phase 3 with a focus on cryoablation, creating an additional clinical education and market development opportunity for ProSense in the Netherlands.

In September 2025, IceCure announced two publications reporting positive findings stemming from the THERMAC trial of the ProSense system in breast cancer.

The company advised that the THERMAC data reported high patient satisfaction with thermal ablation and that ProSense cryoablation achieved the highest complete ablation rate among the evaluated thermal ablation techniques.

Using these data, the investigators of the THERMAC trial selected cryoablation to continue to phase 3 as it had the greatest potential for the local treatment of early stage breast cancer, with a 94% success rate, 0% complication rate, and 100% treatment tolerance without the need for general anesthesia, stated IceCure Medical.
