Inari Medical Receives Financing to Support Thrombectomy Device Development

March 29, 2018—Inari Medical, Inc. announced the close of a Series C financing totaling $27 million, which the company will use to support and accelerate commercial, clinical, and technology development programs.

According to Inari, the financing provided the company with capital to commercialize its catheter-based technologies for the treatment of venous thromboembolism. To date, Inari has developed the FlowTriever and ClotTriever systems, both of which are designed to enable the safe removal of large clot volumes from big vessels without the use of thrombolytic drugs. Both systems have received 510(k) clearance from the US Food and Drug Administration for thrombectomy in the peripheral vessels. They have also received European CE Mark approval.

The financing was led by new investor Gilde Healthcare and was joined by all of Inari’s existing investors, including Versant Ventures and US Venture Partners. Geoff Pardo of Gilde Healthcare will join Inari's Board of Directors.
