iVascular Acquires the German Distribution Company Endoscout

October 30, 2020—iVascular announced that it has acquired Endoscout GmbH, a distribution company of vascular products in Germany. iVascular, which is based in Barcelona, Spain, made the acquisition through its holding, LVDB SL, a company dedicated to the development, manufacturing, and commercialization of vascular devices.

The company noted that the acquisition of Endoscout changes iVascular’s model of commercialization in Germany into a direct sales business model. Endoscout’s team, business structure, and business activities will continue and will be the base for future reinforcement of the organization to undertake business developments and market challenges.

Lluís Duocastella, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of iVascular, commented in the announcement, “The German market is very important for our peripheral business; the acquisition of Endoscout will help us to grow even more, start the coronary business, and introduce future products from our pipeline. We have extended the iVascular family, with the main objective of reinforcing our presence in one of the most demanding markets.”

Endoscout’s Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Heinz Kölble, stated, “After several years of a very successful cooperation, the whole Endoscout team is very happy to be an integral part of the iVascular family now. We have set ourselves the goal of positioning iVascular as a strong European medical technology player. We will do this with style, empathy, and expertise, and we will focus on our clients for great results. Thank you for the opportunity to join the iVascular team.”
