iVascular Receives Four CE Mark Approvals for New Neurovascular Portfolio to Treat Ischemic Stroke
October 29, 2022—iVascular announced the expansion of its neurovascular pipeline for ischemic stroke with European approvals. The company has achieved the CE Mark for the iNdeep microcatheter; the iNedit balloon distal access catheter; the iNtercept retriever device; and the iNstroke 4- and 6-F aspiration catheter.
The neurovascular portfolio will be commercially available in Europe and it will be released in other regions that recognize CE Mark in 2023. A comprehensive training program and an investment in clinical data to optimize ischemic stroke outcomes are already in place.
The company noted the announcement coincides with the celebration of World Stroke Day on October 29, which aims to raise awareness of the high stroke rates and the need and opportunity for improvements in prevention and case management.
