Kaneka Launches Enlight’s WaveSelect 1014 Neurovascular Guidewire in United States

January 20, 2026—Kaneka Medical America LLC, a subsidiary company of Kaneka Corporation, announced the United States launch of Enlight Medical Ltd.’s WaveSelect 1014 guidewire, through an exclusive distribution agreement. Kaneka is focused on embolization coil technology for neurovascular therapies.

The company stated that under the terms of the partnership, Kaneka will hold exclusive rights to distribute Enlight’s next-generation guidewire technology in the United States.

According to Kaneka, Enlight’s WaveSelect with polymer-metal matrix technology was originally designed and engineered in Japan with a focus on performance, microcatheter deliverability, and versatility across a wide range of neurovascular interventions.

Enlight Medical was founded in Boston, Massachusetts, and is currently located in China. It is focused on interventional medical devices for structural heart diseases and intravascular diseases, as well as neuromodulation products, noted Kaneka’s press release.
