Medtronic Completes Acquisition of Scientia Vascular

June 12, 2026—Medtronic announced it has completed its acquisition of Scientia Vascular, a privately held developer of access products for the treatment of complex neurovascular conditions.

The company advised that the acquisition is valued at $550 million, subject to customary adjustments, with potential undisclosed earnout and milestone payments postacquisition. In March 2026, Medtronic announced a definitive agreement to acquire Scientia Vascular.

According to the press release, Scientia’s portfolio of guidewires and catheters can be seamlessly integrated with Medtronic’s existing suite of neurovascular products.
