Mentice and Siemens Partner on Neurovascular Treatment Planning

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • A Mentice and Siemens Healthineers comarketing agreement focuses on integrating intracranial aneurysm treatment planning with angiography imaging workflows.
  • The agreement provides access to Mentice’s Ankyras software through Siemens Healthineers’ Artis Icono platform for planning flow diverter procedures in interventional neuroradiology.
  • Ankyras is commercially available in the European Union, the United States, and Brazil.

June 2, 2026—Mentice AB announced a comarketing agreement with Siemens Healthineers to allow clinicians access to the Mentice Ankyras clinical decision-support software for intracranial aneurysms with the Siemens Healthineers Artis Icono angiography systems. The agreement includes joint promotional activities through the Artis Icono product platform.

Mentice, a Sweden-based developer of simulation and clinical decision support solutions for image-guided therapies, stated that the Ankyras software supports interventional neuroradiologists in selecting a flow diverter by predicting device behavior, including foreshortening and landing zones, before a procedure.

The company explained that imaging data acquired on Artis Icono can be transferred directly to Ankyras, allowing physicians to virtually plan and simulate flow diverter treatments using patient-specific anatomy with Mentice’s predictive modeling software.

By combining Ankyras with Artis Icono, clinicians can move from imaging to simulation, furthering the integrated Mentice VIST simulation platform and Siemens’ “virtual patient” approach to treatment planning directly connected to the clinical environment, stated Mentice.

Ankyras is commercially available in the European Union, the United States, and Brazil, noted the press release.
