Merit Medical Named Distributor for QXMédical's Q50 Plus EVAR Device

July 12, 2018—Merit Medical Systems, Inc. announced that it has been named the exclusive global distributor of QXMédical's Q50 Plus stent graft balloon catheter.

The Q50 Plus device is used in endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR) procedures to treat abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAAs) and thoracic aortic aneurysms (TAAs). It is also suitable for temporary occlusion of large vessels.

According to the company, the Q50 Plus device has a balloon diameter range of 10 to 50 mm and is compatible with 12-F introducer sheaths. The device is available with either a 65-cm-length catheter (for AAA procedures) or a 100-cm-length catheter (for TAA procedures) and is designed with a tapered flexible tip to facilitate device passage.
