Month of Online Programs Will Replace ESVS 2020 Annual Meeting in Krakow

May 7, 2020—The European Society for Vascular Surgery (ESVS) announced “ESVS Month” as a replacement for the society’s 34th annual meeting that was scheduled for September 29 to October 2, 2020 in Krakow, Poland. The on-site ESVS 2020 meeting was canceled because of the ongoing COVID-19 crisis in order to preserve the health and safety of the ESVS community.

ESVS Month will include a set of online webinars organized each week, beginning September 29. The annual meeting organizing committee is seeking to offer high-quality online sessions with interactive features, according to the society’s announcement.

To continue to advance knowledge in the field of vascular surgery, ESVS Month will include:

  • A scientific program spread over 4 weeks with eight webinars, including symposia sessions chaired and delivered by world-renowned experts and scientific sessions with the best-submitted abstracts
  • A series of interactive educational workshops run by the ESVS Academy, covering numerous topics within vascular medicine to allow participants to brush up on their skills or learn something new
  • Participation with industry partners

More information on this new digital format will be available on the ESVS website.
