Ontogo Vascular Names Scott Rush as CEO

August 24, 2026—Ontogo Vascular Inc. announced the appointment of Scott Rush as Chief Executive Officer.

According to the company, Rush will lead Ontogo Vascular’s activities with an immediate priority on advancing its OV Control, the first product within the OV Rescue system, through product finalization, regulatory progression, and preparation for commercial release.

In addition to more than three decades of MedTech experience, Rush brings an established working relationship with Ontogo Vascular’s Cofounder Professor Benjamin Starnes, MD. They previously worked together on medical device commercialization programs and will work closely as OV Control progresses toward market.

Jeremy Barker is Chair of the Board of Ontogo Vascular, and Philip Nowell serves as the company’s President.

The company noted that Rush’s MedTech experience spans the development, scale up and commercialization of complex class II and class III medical devices, including vascular implants, stent graft systems, biomaterials, and endovascular platforms. He has led multinational engineering and scientific organizations; managed multimillion dollar R&D programs; and supported regulatory approvals across the United States, European Union. and Japan. Additionally, his broader experience includes strategic M&A due diligence, investor engagement, and multimarket commercialization, stated Ontogo Vascular.
