Philips Launches DoseWise Portal for Integrated Radiation Dose Management

November 30, 2014—Royal Philips Electronics introduced the DoseWise portal at the 100th annual meeting of the Radiological Society of North America in Chicago, Illinois. The DoseWise portal is a comprehensive radiation dose-management software solution aimed at managing radiation exposure risk to patients and their caregivers. 

According to the company, the DoseWise portal enables health care providers to proactively record, analyze, and monitor imaging radiation doses for patients and clinicians across multiple diagnostic settings. Philips DoseWise solutions include a comprehensive portfolio of products and services including ClarityIQ, IMR (iterative model reconstruction technology), and DoseAware, which provide the data and support needed to implement a broad and comprehensive dose-management strategy.

In the company’s press release, Christoph Wald, MD, commented, “Understanding and delivering the right dose for each person each time, and tracking and analyzing exposure over time, requires more than just technology, but also involves a new way managing radiation safety.
