SoundBite Peripheral CTO Crossing System Approved in Europe

March 27, 2018—SoundBite Medical Solutions Inc. announced it has received European CE Mark approval for the SoundBite crossing system, a wire-based technology that is intended for the treatment of peripheral chronic total occlusions. This is the Quebec-based company's first product to receive CE Mark approval.

The company's shock wave technology for interventional vascular treatment is intended to deliver, in a very controllable manner, high-amplitude shock wave pulses through guidewires and other interventional tools to highly calcified and fibrotic tissue in the vascular system, while leaving healthy, elastic arterial walls unharmed, advised SoundBite.
