- The LimFlow system received FDA approval in September 2023 for patients with no-option chronic limb-threatening ischemia.
October 14, 2026—Stryker Peripheral Vascular announced that the American Medical Association (AMA) Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) Editorial Panel has approved a new category I CPT code for transcatheter arterialization of deep veins (TADV) using the company’s LimFlow system. The milestone advances the therapy from its current category III coding pathway, noted Stryker.
According to the company’s announcement on LinkedIn, the AMA category I CPT code recognizes that TADV is an established procedure with growing body of clinical evidence, physician adoption, and consistent utilization. It also strengthens the infrastructure behind patient access, noted Stryker.
In September 2023, LimFlow was approved by the FDA for TADV to treat patients with chronic limb-threatening ischemia who have no suitable revascularization options and are at risk of major amputation.
