SVS Seeks Representative for Multidisciplinary Roundtable on IVUS Utilization in Peripheral Interventions
June 29, 2022—The Society for Vascular Surgery (SVS) announced it has been invited by the Society of Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions to participate in a multidisciplinary roundtable on intravenous ultrasound (IVUS) utilization in peripheral interventions with the intent of developing and publishing a multidisciplinary white paper.
SVS is seeking applications from its membership to serve as the SVS representative to the roundtable. The deadline to submit an application is July 11, 2022.
The half-day virtual meeting will be held in Q3/Q4 2022. More information about the meeting is available on the SVS website here.
According to SVS, the roundtable assemblage will include representation from experts in interventional cardiology, interventional radiology, vascular surgery, vascular medicine, and venous care.
SVS advised that the roundtable will be an independent, society-based, multidisciplinary exploration of the current state of IVUS in peripheral interventions in the field (including variation and gaps in practice), the current state of data and consensus on best practices, and recommendations on the right tools and settings for optimal patient outcomes and a strategy to affect and accelerate change.
SVS members interested in serving as the SVS representative should submit a brief statement of interest including relevant experience and qualifications (350 words) via the SVS application site here by July 11, 2022.
Any questions or requests for assistance with technical difficulties can be addressed to: vascular@vascularsociety.org.
