Techsomed and Medtronic Collaborate on AI-Guided Ablation Therapy
October 22, 2025—Techsomed Ltd., an Israel-based developer of medical artificial intelligence–powered software for image-guided therapy, announced a pilot collaboration with Medtronic. The collaboration will combine Techsomed’s BioTraceIO360 software and Medtronic’s Emprint microwave ablation system for image-guided ablation therapy.
According to Techsomed, the combination is intended to support interventional radiologists throughout the full cycle of ablation management, from planning to posttreatment assessment.
The collaboration seeks to address the challenges of maintaining local control of tumor margins, such as limited intraprocedural visibility, nonintegrated technologies, and reliance on fragmented imaging systems.
Techsomed’s planning, visualization, and margin confirmation software used with the Emprint ablation system with Thermosphere technology provides real-time visualization, predictive margin control, dynamic treatment planning, and scalable, spherical ablation zones, noted the press release.
