Terumo Invests £33 Million Into Vascutek Expansion

February 12, 2018—Terumo Corporation has announced a £33 million investment into subsidiary Vascutek Ltd. with a goal of driving further growth for the Scotland-based vascular graft manufacturer.

The investment will support expanding Vascutek's headquarters and manufacturing facilities, including the addition of two new cleanrooms and a sterilization suite. Vascutek primarily manufactures devices aimed at treating aortic disease pathologies, such as the Anaconda, Anaconda Fenestrated, and the Thoraflex Hybrid platforms.

The Tokyo-based Terumo acquired Vascutek in 2002 and added Bolton Medical in 2017.

The expansion is scheduled to begin in April 2018 and be complete in 2021.
