Terumo's HydroPearl and LifePearl Microspheres Approved in Europe

April 2, 2015—Terumo announced that European CE Mark approval for two new products was received last month. The HydroPearl is a new Terumo microsphere for more predictable bland embolization. The LifePearl is a drug-elutable microsphere for chemoembolization. The HydroPearl and LifePearl are part of the company’s line of interventional oncology products that includes access and ablation devices, embolics, and microspheres.

Terumo will provide more information on these devices at ECIO 2015, the European Conference on Interventional Oncology in Nice, France, on April 22–25 and at GEST, the Global Embolization Symposium and Technologies meeting in Seville, Spain, on June 24–27, 2015.
