Theragenics Launches Torx Transitionless Guidewires

April 10, 2013—Theragenics Corporation (Buford, GA) announced the launch of Galt Medical Corporation's (Garland, TX) line of Torx transitionless guidewires. Galt Medical is a wholly owned subsidiary of Theragenics.

According to the Theragenics announcement, Galt Medical's Torx guidewire uses a transitionless construction for improved navigation during challenging interventional cases. The Torx guidewire features a solid nitinol core that provides flexibility and kink resistance, a Galt Gold coiled tip to allow for enhanced visualization, and a coating designed for maximum control and durability throughout the procedure. The company advised that the Torx line of guidewires is available in a variety of diameters, tip lengths, and angles for a wide range of applications.
