Three-Year Results Presented From Endologix's Ovation European Postmarket Registry

January 25, 2017—Endologix, Inc. announced the presentation of 3-year clinical data from its Ovation European postmarket registry by Patrick Peeters, MD, at LINC 2017, the Leipzig Interventional Course in Leipzig, Germany. The registry is evaluating the company's Ovation abdominal stent graft system for endovascular aneurysm repair of abdominal aortic aneurysms.

According to the company, the registry included 501 patients enrolled throughout 30 European centers from May 2011 to December 2013. At 3 years of follow-up, the study results included:

  • 99% freedom from aneurysm-related mortality
  • 99% freedom from migration, rupture, and conversion
  • 97% freedom from type I/III endoleak
  • Freedom from secondary intervention for occlusion (97%), type I endoleak (97%) and type II endoleak (95%)

Professor Dierk Scheinert, MD, who is Principal Investigator of the study and Chairman of the LINC symposium, commented in the Endologix press release, “This study confirms the ability of the Ovation platform to successfully treat a broad array of patient anatomies with a high rate of treatment success and freedom from secondary intervention through midterm follow-up. We are pleased to have revealed these impressive results at our scientific symposium this year.”
