VasCore's Vascular Ultrasound Training & Education Center Opens in Boston

April 21, 2015—The founders of VasCore, the Vascular Ultrasound Core Laboratory, announced the opening of the VasCore Training & Education Center (VTEC) in Boston, Massachusetts. VTEC offers multimodality clinical trial image training, as well as an interactive meeting space for health care professionals in cardiovascular medicine.

Michael R. Jaff, DO, is founder and medical director of VasCore and VTEC. VTEC is located adjacent to the campus of Massachusetts General Hospital. It is a division of the Massachusetts General Physicians Organization. More information is available online at VasCoreTec.org.

In the VasCore announcement, Dr. Jaff commented, “We are proud to be opening our doors to help drive further advancements in vascular care. Working in Boston, the premiere hub for world-class medicine, biotechnology, and academia, the opportunities for innovation are endless. With VTEC’s state-of-the-art facility, we have extensive capabilities ranging from delivering imaging training for clinical trials that creates unprecedented results to hosting educational sessions for medical professionals and trainees alike.”

According to VasCore, the VTEC team provides hands-on, customized training using the latest image technology, as well as educational techniques required by medical device and pharmaceutical clinical trial sponsors, technologists, and physician investigators.

VTEC optimizes training to match specific clinical trial sponsor needs, with support available from world-renowned, local medical and academic partners. Customized training will ensure consistent image acquisition across multiple clinical trial sites, which ultimately results in high-quality data and reduced time and expense.

The facilities of VTEC include a modern, reconfigurable classroom; imaging examination rooms; a business center; and a lounge for all-day training sessions or more intimate sessions with healthcare investigators, innovators, policymakers, and trainees from around the world. The exam rooms include the latest ultrasound image technology for basic and advanced training and are connected to the classroom via cutting-edge video communication to allow instructors and students to exchange dialogue in real time. All sessions can be digitally recorded to create enduring materials for future use, noted VasCore.
