Vascular Solutions Introduces the Quattro Elite Snare
February 14, 2013—Vascular Solutions, Inc. (Minneapolis, MN) announced the immediate availability of the Quattro Elite snare in the United States. The Quattro Elite snare is designed for the retrieval and manipulation of objects located in the cardiovascular system, including coils, balloons, catheters, and guidewires.
According to the company, the Quattro Elite snare requires no assembly and features one-piece construction and a completely integrated 0.035-inch profile that permits delivery through conventional catheters with 0.035-inch lumens. The Quattro features a cobalt-chromium double-helical loop designed for optimal retrieval and manipulation while maintaining flexibility and high torque response. The loops are encapsulated in a platinum coil to enhance visualization under fluoroscopy. The Quattro Elite snare has a locking handle that provides secure capture for retrieval or repositioning of foreign bodies. The Quattro Elite snare is available in 5-mm, 10-mm, 15-mm, 25-mm and 35-mm loop sizes, advised Vascular Solutions.
