Wallaby Medical Updates Distribution Agreement With Japan Lifeline for 10 Additional Neurovascular Products
August 23, 2022—Wallaby Medical announced it has concluded an update of a 10-year exclusive agreement with Japan Lifeline Co., Ltd. for the Japanese distribution of 11 neurovascular treatment devices, including the Avenir coil system that the company began marketing for neurovascular cases in Japan in April 2022.
Wallaby announced its initial partnership with Japan Lifeline for the commercialization of Avenir in Japan in December 2021.
This updated agreement expands the distribution scope to 10 additional products, including Wallaby Medical’s Esperance aspiration catheter, balloon guide catheter, microcatheter, and guiding sheath; and the p64/p48 range of flow diverters, pReset range of stent retrievers, pEgasus stent assist device, pConus stent assist device for bifurcation aneurysms, pIta neuro percutaneous transluminal angioplasty balloon catheter, and pRelax vasospasm treatment device from by Phenox GmBH, which was acquired by Wallaby in April 2022.
The announcement noted that this partnership will allow Japan Lifeline to establish a comprehensive product portfolio in Japan for the treatment of acute ischemic stroke and cerebral aneurysms.
