July 25, 2016—Penumbra, Inc. announced commercial availability of the Ace 68 reperfusion catheter, part of the fully integrated Penumbra system, in the United States. The Penumbra system with the Ace 68 reperfusion catheter is indicated for use in the revascularization of patients with acute ischemic stroke secondary to intracranial large vessel occlusive disease within 8 hours of symptom onset.

ARISE II Pivotal Trial Begins for Neuravi's EmboTrap Stent Retriever

November 5, 2015—Neuravi announced the commencement of the pivotal ARISE II international clinical trial to assess the safety and effectiveness of the company’s EmboTrap revascularization device, which is a stent retriever for the treatment of acute ischemic stroke.  According to Neuravi, the ARISE II study will enroll 210 patients at up to 25 sites across Europe and the United States.
