Bentley Opens New State-of-the-Art Headquarters in Southern Germany
March 13, 2018—Bentley announced that the company's new state-of-the-art headquarters will officially open on April 18 in Hechingen, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Bentley develops and manufactures devices for the minimally invasive treatment of vascular diseases.
The new headquarters, which is near the company's previous site, will house all of Bentley's operations, including research and development (R&D), quality control, manufacturing, administration, customer service, and training.
According to the company, the larger, more modern space—with streamlined production workflows concentrated in one site—will both enable increased production capacity and an improved work environment for employees. The new manufacturing area, which is four times larger than in the old production site, is fully accredited. The first lot of devices built entirely on the new site were dispatched at the end of 2017.
Bentley stated that the new facility reflects its commitment to R&D and its dedication to pursuing new regulatory approvals. The R&D team and the quality and regulatory department comprise 20% and 15% of the company's workforce, respectively.
Bentley's product portfolio includes the BeGraft peripheral stent system, which was launched in 2013, with the second-generation device launched in 2015; the BeSmooth peripheral stent system, launched in 2014; the BeGraft aortic stent graft system, launched in 2016; and the BeGraft Plus covered balloon-expandable stent, which was recently launched. The BeGraft coronary stent graft system was launched in 2012, noted the company.
