KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • Fluidx Medical closes financing to support development and commercialization activities for its GPX, Ultra, and Impass embolic technologies.
  • The funding will support manufacturing and commercial readiness for GPX and Ultra and further development of the investigational Impass neurovascular technology.
  • The financing comes after completion of the GPX investigational device exemption clinical trial and submission of the final module of its premarket approval application to the FDA.

August 7, 2026—Fluidx Medical Technology, Inc., a developer of embolic technologies, announced the closing of financing that will fund the development and growth of the company’s portfolio of controllable embolic gels.

The company advised that its current product pipeline includes the investigational GPX, Ultra, and Impass embolic technologies, which have applications across peripheral vascular, interventional oncology, and neurovascular embolization. The technology is intended for occluding the smallest to the largest vessels in a wide range of clinical conditions.

According to Fluidx, the investment will be used to expand manufacturing and commercial readiness activities of GPX and Ultra. The capital will also accelerate development of the Impass next-generation neurovascular embolic technology, building on encouraging preclinical results recently presented at SNIS 2026, the Society of NeuroInterventional Surgery’s annual meeting, noted the company.

The press release stated that the financing comes after completion of the GPX investigational device exemption clinical trial and continued advancement of the Ultra peripheral embolic platform. On July 24, Fluidx announced that the final module of its premarket approval application for GPX has been submitted to the FDA.

“This financing is an important milestone for Fluidx as we continue executing on our mission to redefine embolization with technologies that are simple to use and highly controllable,” commented Libble Ginster, Chief Executive Officer of Fluidx Medical, in the press release. “The funding strengthens our ability to bring GPX and Ultra to market while advancing Impass through key clinical milestones.”
