Imperative Care Appoints Ariel Sutton GM of Stroke Business

April 3, 2023—Imperative Care, Inc., a California-based medical technology company focused on developing treatments for stroke and other ischemic diseases, announced the appointment of Ariel Sutton to the newly created position of General Manager of the company’s Stroke business.

Sutton joined the company in August 2016 as EVP, Marketing, having previously held roles at Cardinal Health, Access Closure, ev3, FoxHollow Technologies, and Johnson & Johnson’s LifeScan division. A Fulbright Scholar, she graduated with an ScB in biomedical engineering from Brown University and earned an MBA at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.

Recent Imperative Care milestones include that 510(k) clearance of its first family of neurovascular access catheters in January 2019 and the April 2019 the company clearance of the Zoom aspiration system. Imperative Care's Zoom RDL stroke-specific radial access platform was cleared by the FDA for mechanical thrombectomy in January 2023.
