Teleflex Introduces Arrow ErgoPack Complete MAC and PSI Systems for Vascular Access

January 19, 2021—Teleflex Incorporated announced the launch of the Arrow ErgoPack Complete multilumen access catheter (MAC) system and the Arrow ErgoPack Complete percutaneous sheath introducer (PSI) system. In October 2020, the company released the Arrow ErgoPack Complete central venous catheter system.

Teleflex stated that enhancements in the new ErgoPack Complete MAC and PSI systems include the Arrow GlideWheel Advancer, which is designed for tactile feedback and finer control; a nitinol guidewire, which is kink resistant compared to stainless steel; a transducer cover to support guidelines for ultrasound use; prefilled sterile saline syringes inside the kit; and an extra ChloraPrep skin preparation product in each kit (two total).

According to the company, the ErgoPack system’s key feature is the Arrowg+ard Blue MAC and PSI catheters. High-flow Arrow MAC catheters are designed to meet the needs of a variety of patient types—from trauma to cardiac—and offer full-spectrum antimicrobial protection against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria and fungi, which are the key infectious pathogens responsible for central line–associated bloodstream infection (CLABI). Arrow PSI catheters are designed to provide antimicrobial protection and optimal access for hemodynamic monitoring.

The ErgoPack Complete system’s combination of MAC and PSI insertion components are packaged in an ergonomic and efficient top-down, left-to-right configuration and help central line inserters comply with critical third-party independent guidelines for reducing CLABI. The ErgoPack Complete MAC and PSI systems are available in two different configurations and in a variety of catheter French sizes, noted Teleflex.
